Yesterday was a HUGE day for Ichiro and the Seattle Mariners! In fact, it's been a great season so far and it's only half over. My Oh My!
On Sunday, the Seattle Mariners finished out the first half of the 2007 season with a .576, the #2 spot in AL-West and #5 overall in the AL and MLB. Ichiro finished with a .359 average, #2 in MLB right now. My Oh My!
- And about Sunday's game: Talk about team camaraderie. The bully pitcher Blanton from the Oakland A's shoved Ichiro on the sidelines, and the Seattle Mariners pretty much sacked the bully! It was great fun. My Oh My!

And then there was yesterday's 2007 All-Star Game in San Francisco. The American League won AGAIN (5-4). The AL team had 3 HR's, including a history-making HR by - guess who? - ICHIRO! In the 5th inning, Ichiro hit the first inside-the-park home run ever for an All-Star Game! It was a 2-run homer, putting the AL in the lead 2-1. He finished the game hitting
3-for-3. My Oh My!
But Wait, There's More!
Ichiro was voted the All-Star Game MVP and received the Ted Williams MVP trophy and the keys to a 2008 Chevy Tahoe hybrid. My Oh My!

As Seattle was celebrating Ichiro's success in the All-Star Game last night, we learn that Ichiro had agreed to sign a 5-year contract with the Mariners. We now have him until 2012! Ichiro is THE MAN!

Whenever Caleb and I play baseball in the backyard, he chooses the Dodgers, and I am the Mariners! Hope they can pass the Angels the AL West!

Excellent Eric! Henriet and I will be down in CA the first week of August. We're going to the Angels vs. Red Sox game. We'll be rooting for the Red Sox!
